Hurricane Ian | Engineering For Survival

We closely monitored the devastating weather in Florida last week — our field crew is working in the center of the state. We had our operations team ready to pull them out but we were grateful to see the brunt of the storm pass our site with no damage.

Our completed projects outside of Fort Myers, in solar-powered Babcock Ranch, got hit with the full force of the hurricane but escaped unharmed as well.

CBS News: Hurricane Ian destroyed power systems and ravaged homes. One southwest Florida community completely powered by solar escaped with little damage.

The Lakehouse community center and our Cabin Series home — along with the entire town — were engineered and built to withstand high-impact hurricanes. While we are happy to share this news, our thoughts are with our friends and family going through some very tough times all over Florida. We wish them well.
