Take the Burke and invert the layout. Now the main wing is recessed and the side wings extend out. These elongated wings increase the home’s footprint allowing for two smaller bedrooms in the east wing, and a large primary bedroom in the west wing. The bedrooms are connected via a central living area with an open-floor plan design.

Unique features

One of Timberbuilt’s few designs with three bedrooms on the first floor. The exterior was finished with EQUITONE [tectiva] fiber cement panels. More details are available in this article.

Original Glenwood Burke Design

Timberbuilt’s original design featured a low-slope roof with clear story windows on three sides of the main wing (similar to the Sunspot). This arrangement brings lots of light into the great room, and opens up the possibility of a green roof.

Updated Glenwood Burke Design

At the request of the HOA the roof pitch of Timberbuilt’s original design was increased. This gives the Glenwood Burke a more striking appearance, but at the loss of some natural light coming from the clear story windows. Here at the Timberbuilt office we’re split down the middle about which version we prefer.
