Tired of
the same old grind?

Put some ADVENTURE into your work.

We’re looking for high-motor, adventurous, competitive workers, excited to travel who thrive in the outdoors.

A typical year includes projects in the Pacific Northwest, the Rocky Mountains, New England, and everywhere in between. We also have a handful of jobs right here in Western NY.

A few examples of our work:

CANALSIDE
KODIAK, ALASKA
GLACIER NATIONAL PARK
EAST AURORA, NY
PRESCOTT, ARIZONA

*Summer jobs for students are available.*

THE JOB

We send small teams all over the country to assemble energy efficient timber frame homes.

Your day to day activities include:

• Carpentry/stick framing (if experienced)
• Using clamps, sledge hammers, nail guns, and impact drivers to assemble panelized enclosure systems (basically the exterior building envelope) on the job site.
• Receiving, directing, and guiding materials hoisted by heavy equipment into place — often you will be doing this on ladders.
• Using circular saws, tape measure, and other hand tools to build whatever it takes to get the job done.

It takes about two weeks for us to connect the timbers and attach the walls and roof (made out of SIPs – structural insulated panels) which come in great big pieces.

Take a look at how we describe our field team to potential clients. It should give you a good idea of how much we value our crew and how high we set our expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Carpenters and framers are great. We have also had success training young workers who have some experience using basic construction tools.

Useful skills include:

• General construction background
• Ability to thrive under weather conditions in mountains, desert, snow, and rain
• Strength and confidence using saws, drills, hammers, chisels, sledges, and extension ladders
• Physical endurance — very little downtime, lots of lifting, climbing, moving around

We pride ourselves on offering young workers a lot of responsibility. We want everyone to be an equal part of our small team. We don’t pay guys to sweep the floor. We don’t yell at people to make them “pay their dues”.

It’s a good, tight-knit team.

Our process is pretty simple.
